History of Purple Parking
Purple parking was first opened by Michael Inwards who opened the cost effective and reliable park and ride facility at Heathrow. At this time Heathrow Airport was expanding at a fast rate and with the traffic becoming increasingly busy around the area, there was a demand for such a service to allow passengers to commute from a local and secure car park, avoid the traffic congestion, and travel in a stress free and comfortable environment to their onward journey.
Michael was joined by Ken Rayne and together set up the business Secure Storage at Brent Road in Southall using three buses and a handful of employees.The business was renamed Purple Parking in 2000, and from 2002 we're able to offer secure airport park and ride for all the major airports across the UK. They also offer services such as car washing and a Chauffeur driven meet and greet to add that extra touch to your journey. Each year the facilities are inspected and awarded the AA/Police Gold Award for security.
